At Pangaea Youth, we believe that self-expression is at the heart of youth work. That’s why we created “Frames of Expression” – a photography workshop designed to give young people the space to be creative, collaborative, and authentic. This wasn’t just about taking pictures; it was about telling our stories and showing the world who we are as a youth community.
Main Takeaways:
Youth practiced teamwork by co-creating both individual and group photos.
The workshop highlighted the role of self-expression in shaping identity, confidence, and community pride.
Our team came together not just for a photoshoot, but for a shared moment of creativity. Everyone had the chance to suggest ideas for poses, settings, props, and even the overall mood of the photos. The photographer supported the technical side, but the flow of the session came directly from the participants. This way, the photos became more than images – they became a reflection of who we are as young people working together at Pangaea. We captured not only our faces, but also our spirit of collaboration, diversity, and action.
“Frames of Expression” mattered because it wasn’t about perfect poses or flawless photography. It was about giving young people the freedom to express themselves, while also strengthening the bonds within our community. Through this workshop, we showed that youth voices matter, creativity can bring people together, and collaboration makes stories stronger. The activity also reflected Erasmus+ values by promoting inclusion, participation, and community building. The photos now stand as a visual story of Pangaea Youth – a community built on diversity, energy, and shared vision.
