Youth Creativity through Songwriting

The evening started with a beginner-friendly songwriting session led by Nikola Ivanov, where participants were guided step by step through the creative process. Everyone was encouraged to share ideas for lyrics, melodies, and themes, regardless of prior musical experience. Over the course of a couple of hours, the group co-created three completely original songs, experimenting with different styles, harmonies, and rhythms.

As the songs took shape, participants practiced collaboration and active listening, giving feedback to each other and adjusting their ideas together. Once the songs were completed, the group performed them collectively, celebrating their creativity and the sense of achievement that comes from creating as a team. The energy and excitement were contagious — what was planned as a casual board game evening quickly transformed into karaoke and dancing, with everyone taking turns on the microphone, cheering each other on, and enjoying the playful, supportive atmosphere.

This evening was not just about music. It was about youth empowerment — giving space for young people to try something new, share their voice, and build confidence. It also showed the spirit of Erasmus+: inclusion, participation, and creativity.
