Offline Hours : The Art of Exchange

Last Wednesday at Pangaea, Bjarke lead an amazing workshop where we did simple sketches that evolved through quiet collaboration. We also enjoyed a delicious carrot cake that the Pangaea Team made for everyone !

Offline Hours : The Art of Exchange

The evening

The evening was a chance to see how creativity can grow through exchange: noticing how others respond to your ideas, how a piece can change through interaction, and how those shifts can spark something new in your own work.

First Drawings

On a small piece of paper, we all started to draw anything that came to our mind. We did it for 5 minutes, then Bjarke told us to pass it to the person on our right. Now with the drawing from someone else, we added our own sketch to it for another 5 minutes. We continued to switch the drawings a few times and it was fun to see how the sketches evolved and changed every time.

Last Drawing

At the end, we had a bigger piece of paper to draw or paint something new or what the previous exercise inspired us.

The participants

One of the best parts of the night was the diversity. We were a group of 10 people, but we represented almost every corner of the globe. We had voices from:

  • Ukraine, Hungary, Spain, France, and Denmark.
