Easter Offline Hours Drawing, Games and New Connections

This week's Offline Hours event was themed around Easter, and 18 participants came together for a fun get-together. Some were part of an Erasmus project and came to socialize and get to know Pangaea. Young people gathered in Kamjatka for a relaxed Easter evening with drawing games, snacks, and time to connect offline.

Easter's Activity

Easter Offline Hours was a small and cozy youth evening where young people could meet, relax, and be creative together without screens. Events like this are important in youth work because they give young people a place to belong and meet others in a safe and informal environment.

During the evening, the group played a “Drawing Relay”, organized by Bjarke, where one person started a drawing and passed it to the next person, letting creativity and imagination grow as a team.

Young people also ate snacks made by Alexia and Nolween, talked, and played a mafia game together. These simple activities helped participants practice teamwork, communication, and creativity, which are important parts of youth development.

Around 18 young people joined the event, including some participants from Hungary who are in Horsens for an Erasmus+ working project. Meeting local and international youth helps build friendships, cultural understanding, and confidence in speaking and participating in group activities. This is an important part of youth work, especially for integration and participation in the local community.

 Why It Matters

Events like Easter Offline Hours are important in youth work because they create simple opportunities for young people to meet, talk, and feel part of a community. Not all youth activities need to be big events,  small social evenings can have a big impact on young people’s sense of belonging.
