The centerpiece of the evening was a clever "Book Bingo" game, which served as the perfect catalyst for conversation. Simple prompts on the bingo grid—like "Who has met a famous author?", "Who prefers hardbacks over paperbacks?", or "Who owns an e-reader?"—sparked an immediate wave of debate and storytelling. Guests proudly showed off the picture of their bookshelves and enthusiastically confessed to loving the distinct, nostalgic smell of old books. What started as quick icebreaker questions quickly bloomed into deep, fascinating discussions about personal habits, favourite stories, and literary quirks.
Of course, no great discussion is complete without good food. As the participants chatted, they treated themselves to a spread of delicious snacks, including a crowd-favourite, homemade banana bread that kept everyone reaching for seconds.
The highlight of the evening’s literary debate centered around Mark Manson’s famous book, The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck and led to plenty of humor and shared laughter. By the end of the event, a table of nine separate individuals had turned into a close-knit group, proving once again that the Pangaea Youth Network knows exactly how to build community—one page at a time.
