Youth Exchange, Non Formal Education
)
Description
INFOR PACK IS EXPECTED BY THE END OF JANUARY!
We’re happy to share that our Youth Exchange project “Mental Health TRICKS – Theatrical Reflection on Inner Child, Kept Simple”
Project overview
“Mental Health TRICKS – Theatrical Reflection on Inner Child, Kept Simple” is a youth exchange focused on mental health and wellbeing, explored through non-formal education and creative methods (theatre-based activities, storytelling, role play, experiential workshops, local visits and daily reflection moments).
Please note: this is not therapy, but a safe learning environment where participants can explore emotions and self-awareness in a simple and accessible way.
Dates & place
Youth Exchange in Palermo (Italy): 15–25 May 2026 (travel days included)
APV (Preparatory Visit) in Palermo: 18–20 April 2026 (for group leaders + facilitators)
Group composition (your team)
We will need: 5 participants (20–27 years old) + 1 group leader (23–30 years old) + 1 facilitator (23–30 years old).
Will pay attention to gender balance.
In total, there will be 6 people * 5 countries (Spain, Italy, Germany, Denmark, and Turkey).
Participant profile
We are looking for young people who:
are motivated to explore mental wellbeing, emotions and self-awareness;
are open to creative, participatory learning (theatre/storytelling);
can commit to the full process (preparation, the exchange, and follow-up/dissemination back home).
Inclusion – fewer opportunities
The project includes participants with fewer opportunities linked to economic barriers. We are looking to involve at least 2 participants facing economic disadvantage.
What participants will do / expected outcomes.
Facilitator
From a practical point of view, we would be very happy if one of the volunteers from the Danish team could support projects two main facilitators during the exchange (e.g., helping with group work, energisers, setting up materials, supporting debriefings, and assisting with the flow of activities). It doesn’t need to be a “lead facilitator” role — more a co-facilitation/support role.
What’s included?
✅ Travel reimbursement up to 309 Euros
✅ Free accommodation
✅ 3 Meals and 2 coffee breaks per day
✅ Youthpass certification – Recognised by the European Commission.
Please be aware that from 2025 there will be applied a small administrative fee of 200 dkk, which you will need to pay once you are accepted to the project.
