Whether you’ve lived in Horsens for years or just arrived, you’re welcome to the Club.

Why do debate?

We believe it's an important skill to have, especially in a time where we're outsourcing all of our cognitive capacity to ChatGPT and the likes. Being able to think critically, formulate your thoughts and make strong arguments is becoming increasingly difficult, and through debate we can sharpen and improve these skills.

It’s a place to:

• meet new people

• connect across cultures

• enjoy a relaxed Saturday afternoon

Everyone is welcome – students, internationals, newcomers, and locals.

What will we do?

• Talk about debates (topics, styles, speech..)

• Break for social eating, we will be serving some food

Our Debate Club welcomes everyone who is interested in discussion, critical thinking, and exchanging ideas — regardless of experience level.

Whether you are:

• A complete beginner curious about debating

• An experienced debater

• Someone who simply enjoys discussing current issues

• A student looking to improve public speaking skills

You are welcome to join us for free!

What to bring:

No prior debate experience is required — just bring your curiosity and respect for different perspectives.
