Join us for good food, good vibes, and good company.
Whether you’ve lived in Horsens for years or just arrived, you’re welcome at our table.
The Community Cooking is a warm, community-led gathering where we cook and share a meal made from surplus food donated by local supermarkets and bakeries.
It’s a place to:
meet new people
connect across cultures
support sustainability
enjoy a relaxed Saturday afternoon
Everyone is welcome - students, internationals, newcomers, locals.
We collect surplus food from local shops.
We cook together - simple, tasty dishes anyone can help with.
We sit down, eat and talk, like one big international family.
Leftovers are shared fairly, so nothing goes to waste.
You don't need cooking experience - just bring yourself.
Our Community Lunch helps to:
Reduce food waste
Build friendships and social connections
Create a space for internationals to feel at home
Keep things affordable for students and young people
Encourage volunteering and community involvement
A shared meal can turn strangers into friends - this is what the lunch is all about.
Short answer: Everyone.
Long answer: Anyone who likes food, community, and a cosy Saturday atmosphere.
Especially:
